Working closely with our clients we rearranged the room layouts from the original architect's plans before we even began this new-build project. By capturing the spectacular waterfront and city skyline views from the main living areas we ensured an intimate connection between the interior and exterior landscapes. The challenge then was to create a seamless flow through a complicated series of off-angled entryways at the entrance foyer & dining room which we addressed by paying special attention to flooring design and decorative millwork and providing excellent lighting.
The interior architecture reflects our clients love of traditional elegance and emphasizes the spaciousness of its nine foot ceilings. We had duct work rerouted from the original mechanical plan which had positioned it over the windows. This allowed us to properly design window treatments that are complimentary with the crown and millwork that flows throughout the home.
The cabinetry & millwork incorporates the differing architectural nuances preferred by each of the homeowners by creatively combining both curves and rectangular aspects into the design and was planned to appear built-in and accommodate the pleasing display of collectibles.
All of the draperies, soft furnishings and upholstered furnishings were designed and completed in our workrooms.The contrast coloured sections of living room draperies are removable to permit seasonal change.
