Designing this high-rise interior was a great experience! From the get-go the homeowners were open & receptive to conceptual ideas that included reworking their original condo plans to improve traffic-flow and provide better utilization of their space. They were continually supportive in every way throughout the process, trusting the actual work to be done while they were out of country.
The significance of this home's enviable proximity to the natural shoreline of Lake Simcoe and the awesome view it affords from it's 2nd floor balcony and large interior windows, wasn't lost when it came to choosing finishing materials.
Careful use of custom painted "Niagara" glass was chosen for the kitchen backsplash, including behind the range hood to subtly introduce the water element that dominates the exterior view. Adding to the water element was easy! The sapphire blue open concept island cabinet and the use of sapphire sparkles infused in the dark blue engineered stone on the bathroom countertops & shower bench seat & Jambs continued the flow. The soft natural beach coloured ceilings & walls provided just enough contrast to highlight the impressive "simply white" millwork including the deep continuously flowing crown & base, and the efficient custom cabinetry & trims throughout.
